Missed venus Transit ?

Neither an astronomer nor a person with star gazing talent but driven by curiosity i wanted to see the Venus Transit as it was kind of once in a life time celestial event. The last time I gaze upon the heaven to see a celestial event taking place was a Solar Eclipse when I was a child. I still remember how we used the roll films as eye protections to get a glimpse of the eclipse and yes, it did work..:) And we would be enthrilled by the spectacle. So thought of experiencing something enthrilling again. But missed it as rain interrupted and the sky remained covered by the clouds the whole day in Pune.. :(..sad right..!. but again the saddest part is that, there is verrrrrrrrrrrrrrry less chances for me or any one of this generation to live till 2117 to see the event recurring again.

But just for the sake of fulfilling that wish i browsed through the internet and found lots about it. (both pictures and videos). So if u have also missed it like me, here's a picture and video from the internet for a virtual experience of the Venus transit 'cos the actual is going to happen only after 105 years...hmm..too long to wait.
It looked something like this. The dark spot is the Venus passing the Sun. It took 6 hours (appox) for the Venus to cross the Sun as per information.
